OK - so it's COLOURING IN now. And another one I've got into is shadow puppetry (although I haven't got the book yet). I got these great colouring in religious Christmas Cards for my daughter a week ago and since then she hasn't had a look in, and they've been out of reach. What do you expect ? THIS was HER effort:
Now that's just not good enough. And what about THIS !!!!:
Now THAT is just a sticker of an octopus put on the BACK !! It's not even colouring in !!
The truth is that I'm just much more into it than she is - and I've even confiscated her pencils (and made them nice and sharp). She can whistle for them (when she's old enough to whistle).
But that's not all I've been up to in the last 3 weeks or so - oh, no. I've been getting into all kinds of new stuff - principally employment. With that out of the way I am now free to focus my attention back to blogging. I've been thinking about what to do - and have come to the decision to start my own blog. I think I'll call it Raymond - but I'm going to solicit expert advice first. It will be the place where I put all of this funny nonsense.
Until that time - if anyone wants a Christmas card by me or (much less likely) from my daughter Loanne, please send me your address and we'll do them.

Nice post Tom. There is a certain anger in your daughter's efforts here - have you upset her recently ?. But I'll have to defer to Sophie's expertise in art appreciation. I'll look forward to your blog. Meantime I'm off to bed - 6am start to play golf with my mates. I am now also going to eat an apple.

Bonjour,
I wouldn't mind a Christmas card, and exposure to Raymond.
Shalom,
Paul H. Colman.

Guten Tag,
I too would like a christmas card. Excellent news on the blog, are you still going to use that sub-title?

I do upset my daughter daily, I think - but we love one another deeply and any upset is borne of the joyous dance of parent and child in these early years.
She's just very young, Harry (I say shaking my head, and looking a bit stern with my head slightly cocked as if listening for a Spaniel)..and not too good at keeping within the lines. I on the other hand cut my teeth in Geography in 1985 when me and my friend Nigel Howlett competed to see who could draw the best maps of German hinterlands etc.
Regarding cards and blogs - Raymond will indeed have the subtitle that Nicholai came up with (although I am now thinking of an alternative along the lines of: Officially 'a good name' (Jen, Typepad Customer Support, 13th Dec '06). I am conducting further research into the 'goodness' of the name but feel fully vindicated.
And if you want those cards (Paul) - I'll need an address.

Raymond sounds great - you don't need to research a name like that.
I have missed updates on balancing, knots and village fetes and look forward to seeing Raymond. Perhaps we could all pop round for mulled wine and minced pies?

Who took the lead with the pink hair and beards/moustaches? Or is pink hair not unusual in the Lewis-Raynier family?

I am experiemting with colour schemes at present - it's quite a complex affair. They remind me of that nob Sharon Osbourne consults in the latter stages of The X Factor (I think his name is DAVE)

I think you mean Mark Hudson: http://www.tinpansouth.com/performers/Hudson_Mark.gif

Bloody hell, is all I can say.
His real name is Dave.

Maybe it's Mark 'Dave' Hudson? Or Mark 'WeirdBeard' Hudson?

I think his name is Dynamite Dave Hudson. It used to be Dave Lee Hudson but he changed it to Mark Hudaveson before the current version.
