Was running late for work this morning, was slightly stressed by this and by having to get the tube (I normally cycle). Was sitting on a train at Ealing Broadway quietly cursing why it was taking so long to get going when the driver piped up over the intercom and said "right my lovelies, mind the doors, we're off, where I don't know, but off we go!"
Everyone laughed (except for a man in pin-stripe who tutted).

London Underground should encourage their drivers to communicate more with the passengers - I for one will forgive all manner of sins if I like someone or something.
