Pod-blog-audio-cast thing done with Russell Davies last night. I'll have to clean it up before posting as it's even longer than the one with Simon, and there are a couple of confidential bits not fit for broadcast. Will try to have it done by the end of the week.
But some initial thoughts on the experience.
1. Russell is a diamond. He gave up nearly 2 hours of his time to answer my questions, some of which I'm sure he's been asked a million times before. Plus he made me a cup of tea.
2. Meeting someone you don't really know to talk about somewhat abstract ideas is more nerve wracking than I was expecting.
3. Nike HQ is a hard building to get into after 6pm.
4. Blogging's brilliant. It connects the world in a way other things don't. It makes it possible (easier) to sit with someone and pick their brains about the things you find interesting - plus you can share the result with anyone who cares to listen. Russell reckons that it's networking for shy people. I wasn't sure I agreed with that as I'm not particularly shy, but I do often make a bad first impression, so maybe that's it - networking for people who aren't very good at making a first impression (for whatever reason).
Anyway, file up soon. Cheers again Russell.
