What are you looking at? Oh that. That's just my voting card, or polling card. And yes, I did use it this morning. I got out of my sick bed and made my way to the local polling station.
Once there I drew breath, relaxed my neck, stretched off my back, and did one of the things I love to do most in the world - I voted.
I love the smell of church halls in the morning, the sight of wonky rosettes, the taste of democratic power. I've said it before but I'll say it again - I'd vote every day if I could.

I hope you voted for the right person Paul. It's a great responsibility.

For someone who dragged themselves out of their "sick bed", you're dressed immaculately!

Only time will tell Tom.
Andy, voting not only got me out of bed, but also into work.

With pockets that low you won't be in work for long. Pull yourself together, Colman.

well done for rising above your man-flu to participate in the democratic process - on a weekday, even! there are a lot of odd things about this country and one of them is that voting happens in the middle of week here. saturday polling places are so much cooler - you get a leisurely stroll to the local school/church hall/whatever, sausage sizzles, bunting, cupcakes and kids playing handball.

I was in strong disagreement until you mentioned bunting.

I'm sure the Revd. Steve Paynter will welcome the increased Sunday morning traffic that this post will generate.

What's that on the floor by the door?
Posted by: claire | 07/20/2007 at 05:06 PM
That's his carpet.
What's it for, Paul ?
Posted by: TomLR | 07/20/2007 at 07:48 PM
It's for standing on Tom. Jesus.
Posted by: Marcus | 07/20/2007 at 10:22 PM
What an interesting life he must lead, standing by doors on carpets.

Sometimes I slam the doors, Tom (for dramatic effect). I'll be sure to post about it when I do.
