Was riding the bus today and managed to get a seat at the front, which is always a good thing. You know - special. As I sat there perched high I started thinking about the things I want to get done next week, a 'to do' list if you will. Blogs are good for this, for creating incentives. Of course they're not 100% fool proof, but what is.
So what would I put on my list?
Top of the list has to be sorting my knee problems out. I tried running again this week, and I was in pain for two days after just a short 3 mile run. So I'm going to go to the doctor's on Monday and get a note to see a physio. I've already spoken to my medical provider and they seemed up for helping (which is nice of them). I'd like to run again, pain free, that would be amazing, something I don't quite believe could be possible ever again. We'll see.
I also need to see a dentist. There is no emergency, like the knee thing, nothing is falling out. But I haven't been for ages, years in fact, and it would be good to check all is as it should be. I'm getting older now, so body stuff is not as strong as it once was.
Eating better, that should go on a list too. Of course this is the ongoing promise we all make to ourselves on a constant basis - 'I must eat more healthy food'. But I've been bad recently. Too many late nights working and not planning properly, so I end up buying rubbish from the shops. Next week I intend to eat more fruit and more greens. Oh, and less bad fat.
Finally, read more.
Go fighting at least once.
Cycle most of the time.
That's it. Let's see what happens.
(If I were you I'd try and get that seat at the front of the bus, it's a good place to think, and you get chucked about when you go around corners, in a good way.)
