I was cycling along Chelsea embankment this morning, early, when I was signaled by traffic policeman to pull over. They were asking all cyclists and all lorry drivers.
Once stopped a nice policeman informed me that there are now a lot of cycling accidents in London caused by lorry drivers. And also lots caused by cyclists not thinking about how they position themselves around lorry's, especially when the lorry's are turning.
They then gave me a leaflet explaining more, from both sides of the story.
I've read it and now I'm going to be more careful around lorry's. I hope they've read it too.
Sometimes it feels good to pay taxes, and have someone thinking about what might kill me, and then producing a little leaflet to try and lower the chances of that happening.
Good work the police.

Very good.

I'd rather hear about innovative thinking on reduction of knife crime but I appreciate the sentiment.
I don't mean to drop by hear all the time but you do post stuff I have a view on.
I don't actually like you.
Well you're alright *winky* (I nicked that off some other blog - it's alright isn't it?)
Knock em out Paul.

Hello Charles, you're always welcome, you know that.
In terms of the police thing, of course I know what you mean, but this seemed like a good and a simple thing.
Maybe they'd solved knife crime the day before...

Reflective stab vests should be their next initiative.

Ben told me about this, this morning. So he sent me the link, I have been trying to come up with a gorilla type campaign to raise awareness, but not got around to doing it... Typical Designer.
