My sister and her family very kindly bought me a puzzle for my birthday, which was 2 months ago (but who's counting). It's a Jackson Pollock one.
At the moment I'm using it to elevate my computer, so it's a more ergonomic height.
One day I'll put it together, but for now it's hello Jackson, goodbye back pain.
(And yes, that is an A3 pad underneath the puzzle, just in case I want to draw up a scamp or something.)
Lots of dark screens there.

A Jackson Pollock jigsaw? That's a brilliant idea. I'd like one of those.
But it's not a very good laptop raiser. Try The Art Of Looking Sideways. Works a dream.

what ben said - the art of looking sideways is perfect laptop height.

I like to use old encyclopedia's... there is something ironic about using them to hoist up my computer knowing it's the one thing that made them so redundant.

once you do the puzzle, you can leave the box open and facing you. and keep stuff under there, pads, pens, vaseline whatever ;). maybe use it to run the cables through.
just a thought.

Now this may come as a bit of a shock but I didn't know that you were blogging again. Something seems right again with the world. Really pleased - thanks.
Best

Thanks, Mark.
Welcome back.
Marcus, I've tried, but it's impossible.
