Do you remember Jamie, he worked at Rainey Kelly as an accounts assistant. I often used to run into him in the office at the weekends (he was hard working). Here he is waiting for the lift to the 6th floor, back in the day.
I left Rainey Kelly sometime ago, but Jamie and I stayed in touch, it's been mostly a Facebook thing, but we have had the odd coffee. It had actually been a while since I heard anything from him, although on the grapevine I'd heard he wanted to try something new. Then out of the blue I got a direct Twitter message from him asking if I'd be able get him some work experience in one of our offices as a planner.
As luck would have it W+K Delhi are looking for planners, and I now have enormous influence over there. So I made a few phone calls, wrote some letters, half-nelsoned the right people, and got him the gig.
He arrived a week ago, he flew BA, and seemed to be making quite a good impression.
Although today I did get an email from him explaining that he's been struck down with the infamous 'Delhi Belly', hates all the traffic, misses his friends, thinks he might have made one of the biggest mistakes of his life, and has taken up smoking reefer again.
It's nice to see him following his dreams. I hope he doesn't stuff this up and embarrass me.
A gem.

That's not big and it's not clever.
Anyway, yet again, you're missing the point. There are important events afoot. THIS is what the public want to know.
1. Where's Tom?
2. Brown, Brown, Brown.
3. What's happening with the storage team?
4. Where's Doug E?
Posted by: Ben | 03/02/2009 at 02:35 PM
Mmm...
1. Not sure where Tom is, but I think he's on the Oxfordshire internet now.
2. Brown can't be predicted.
3. I'm preparing to put a 'donk' on storage as we speak.
4. Doug E Fresh is opposite, and stable, I think.
