Whilst here I’ve had no requests asking for my opinion on Goa, you know – early thoughts, insights, and points of view. But I’ve decided I’m going to give them anyway, people are probably just too intimidated to ask (which I can understand, I probably went too early on all that beach self-defense stuff).
Anyway, here we go. Goa is great if you look this way.
Look. Look again. That’s paradise with a capital ‘P’ and a cool sounding ‘dise’. Long beaches. Stunning sunsets. Palm trees. Locals who fiddle with fishing nets, harking back to simpler and dare I say it better times. And there’s a peace here that if you could bottle, you’d sell for loads to those people who buy gaffs down in Brighton. So, look that way and Goa is special.
However, look this way and it’s a different story.
The place is full of junk. Of rip-off artists. Of blaring horns. And people who don’t have a huge regard for one another or their environment, their very special environment.
The place is a contradiction. You just need to decide which way you’re going to look. I suggest this way, not that. Unless you're facing the other way, then reverse it.
You seem to like carrying shoes more than you like wearing them. I prefer wearing, but who am I to judge? Different terrains, different needs etc

Oh, hey, Muzza.
If you knew anything about blogging then you'd know why I was carrying my flip-flops.
Happy Christmas to you and your entire lot.
