Went to listen to a talk about 'cool' internet stuff by Russell at W+K last night, Neil sums it up pretty well here.
Russell said that he wasn't sure it was the best way to present online stuff (in a room full of people watching him navigate around while he talked), but I'd disagree, I thought his commentary, the questions, and discussion made it an unusually team spirited venture - which is rare when doing online things.
Regardless, it was a good hour.
Grabbed a quick drink afterwards with Russell and Faris. Faris is a good bloke (bought me a beer) with an interesting blog, that you can read here.
After that caught up with Mark Hughes, mate of mine, self-proclaimed important man in media, and a miserable drunk.
We got rather pissed and decided in a moment of poor judgement to record an ad hoc podcast. I'm posting it for a number of reasons;
1. Mark wants to hear it.
2. I think there is some interesting stuff in there on the future of media agencies (Mark works at Carat).
3. It's quite funny (there's burping, a beggar requesting change, and Mark constantly trying to summarise).
Be warned though - no notes, no preparation, lots of liqor, and bad language.
